Hello Tomball Elementary Community,
I am Dr. Mary Endress, and I am very excited to join the Tomball Elementary Family. I served as an assistant principal at Decker Prairie Elementary during the 2017-2018 school year. Prior to working as an assistant principal at Decker Prairie Elementary, I served as the first assistant principal for Wildwood Elementary. Prior to joining Tomball ISD, I worked in Katy ISD where I served as an assistant principal and as the instructional officer for secondary ESL. Additionally, I worked in Spring Branch ISD for 12 years where I taught Spanish, French, ESL and reading. Before moving to the Houston area, I lived in Odessa, Texas, where I taught elementary Spanish for Ector County ISD.
Here is a little information about my educational background. I earned a BA in Spanish and French from Trinity University in San Antonio. From the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, I earned an MA in reading and became a reading specialist. I completed educational leadership certification from the University of St. Thomas. In May 2018, I graduated with an Doctor of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Texas of the Rio Grande Valley. I am a lifelong learner, therefore, I am committed to both student and teacher learning.
I am married; my husband, Scott, and I have two children and one grandson. I am a huge animal lover; I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I enjoy reading, swimming and traveling.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. Please stop by my office and introduce yourself.
