We LOVE Volunteers!

Please complete the application for volunteers/observation hours.

The link is:

It takes 24 – 48 hours to receive results of a background check. If someone wants to volunteer and completed the application that same day, we are not going to have results in time, and they will not be eligible to volunteer until we get those results.

Below is the volunteer/observation hours process:

All volunteers or persons interested in completing classroom observation hours are required to complete the Volunteer/Observation application through TalentEd. They must go to, click on Employment, click on the Volunteers/Classroom Observations posting, and click Apply. This process will facilitate a nationwide database search of their background. This step must be completed and results must be received before the applicant is eligible to be on a Tomball ISD campus.

Every Monday or Tuesday, a member of the HR team will send an updated report of all applicants. It will include the status of the applicant, which will read: CLEAR, ERROR, Pending, or Contact HR. Each applicant will receive an email verifying their eligibility to volunteer. If the applicant is ineligible to volunteer, they will be notified by the Director of Human Resources via U.S. Mail.

Individuals who are not required to complete the Volunteer Application include:
• Visitors
• Vendors
• Equipment Repair/Service Providers
• Guest Speakers (anyone who will be on campus for a limited timeframe and will be accompanied by a TISD staff member at all times while in a classroom with students)

Attendance is Important

Consistent attendance is one of the keys to academic success. Parents can help their children succeed by ensuring their attendance, except when illness or extreme family emergencies occur. When absence and tardiness are necessary, a written note of explanation from the parent is required.
