Just like some of our kiddos this school year, I am brand new to Tomball Elementary and Tomball ISD. I have enjoyed quite the adventure in my 15 years of being a part of this amazing profession.
I started my career in the great state of Illinois after graduating from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. I spent my first three years teaching self-contained sixth grade in a small town just a stones throw from where I grew up. With my eyes on target of growing professionally and making a positive difference, I moved to the Houston area to enhance my career. Since moving to Texas, I have taught 5th, 6th, and 7th grade in Lamar Consolidated ISD, Cy-Fair ISD, and after a move this summer...Tomball ISD. I also spent one year in Lamar CISD as an instructional coordinator, as well as three years in Alvin ISD as an assistant principal at the junior high level. It has been quite a journey which I have loved every minute.
On the personal side of life, my family moved to Tomball this summer and feel we have found the best kept secret in Texas. My amazing partner in crime, Melissa, and three stepsons, Brock, Bryson, and Merrick, keep the family going with all their sports activities and energy. We enjoy football in the fall, basketball in the winter (if that really exists in Texas), as well as track and tennis in the spring...and we can not forget Banditos Baseball all year long either as it has taken us to exciting places the last two years. We try to stay humble and busy with the target of enjoying each other on a daily basis.
